1. Introduction

Welcome to MorgsMoves. By booking or using our waste removal and clearance services, you agree to the Terms & Conditions outlined below. Please read them carefully as they are designed to protect both you (the customer) and us (the service provider).

2. Services We Provide

We offer the following services:

  • House & flat/apartment clearance

  • Garage, loft & garden clearance

  • Man & Van services

  • Item collection

  • Waste removal & disposal at licensed facilities

We may refuse removal of dangerous, illegal, or unsuitable materials.

3. Responsible Waste Disposal (Our Commitment)

At MorgsMoves, we aim to dispose of waste as responsibly and sustainably as possible. This includes:

  • Recycling items whenever possible

  • Reusing, donating, or selling items of value

  • Reducing items sent to landfill

  • Disposing of waste only at licensed recycling transfer stations

We follow all UK waste disposal regulations.

4. Quotes, Pricing & Additional Charges

All quotes are estimates based on the information provided at the time of booking. The final price may vary depending on:

  • Actual volume or weight of waste

  • Labour required

  • Access issues (stairs, distance to van, narrow hallways, etc.)

  • Parking availability

  • Additional materials or unexpected items found

  • Incorrect or incomplete information provided at booking

Any price change will be discussed with you before continuing the job.

5. Payments

  • Payment is due immediately upon completion of the job.

  • We accept cash, bank transfer, and (if available) card payment.

  • Failure to pay may result in legal recovery action.

6. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the waste and location

  • Ensure safe, clear access to the property

  • Provide parking or cover parking fees/fines

  • Remove personal or valuable items before the job begins

  • Clearly identify items that should not be removed

We are not responsible for items taken accidentally if they were not separated clearly.

7. Restricted & Hazardous Items

We do not remove:

  • Asbestos

  • Oils, chemicals, paint, or solvents

  • Medical or biological waste

  • Gas bottles (unless empty and accepted by site)

  • Explosives, hazardous waste, or flammable materials

If such items are discovered, we may refuse or adjust the job.

8. Property Access & Damage

We always take care when working on your property. However, we are not liable for:

  • Damage caused by poor access (tight spaces, cluttered areas, unsafe conditions)

  • Damage resulting from customer instructions

  • Pre-existing property damage

Please ensure a safe and accessible working environment.

9. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancelling within 24 hours of your booking may result in a cancellation fee.

  • If we arrive and cannot access the property, a call-out fee may apply.

  • Delays caused by the customer (e.g., keys not available) may incur extra labour charges.

10. Ownership of Removed Items

Once items are removed:

  • You give up ownership of the items

  • We may recycle, reuse, donate, or sell items

  • We decide the most appropriate disposal method

  • Items cannot be returned after removal

11. Environmental Responsibility

We operate in line with UK environmental regulations and waste management laws.
Our disposal methods include:

  • Sorting items to reduce landfill

  • Recycling where possible

  • Repurposing items

  • Disposal only at licensed waste transfer stations

12. Liability & Limits

We are not responsible for:

  • Loss of profit, income, or business

  • Loss of items not clearly identified

  • Damage caused by unsafe access or customer actions

  • Weather, traffic, or third-party delays

Our maximum liability will not exceed the total cost of the service provided.

13. Photography & Evidence

We may take photos for:

  • Proof of waste disposal

  • Before/after job documentation

  • Marketing (only with no personal information visible)

Photos containing personal or sensitive information will not be used publicly.

14. Legal Compliance

We comply with:

  • Environmental Protection Act

  • Waste Duty of Care

  • Waste Carrier Licensing Regulations

Waste is always handled legally and responsibly.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most recent version will always be available on our website.

16. Data Protection & Personal Information

  • We collect personal information such as name, phone number, email address, property address, and job-related photos for the purpose of providing quotes, completing bookings, and meeting legal obligations.

  • Customer data is stored securely and is not shared with third parties except where required for legal, accounting, or waste disposal compliance.

  • We do not sell or misuse customer data.

  • Customers may request access to or deletion of their personal data by contacting us using the details above.
