Compliance and paperwork

Businesses have a duty of care for the waste they produce. That includes storing waste securely, describing it correctly and transferring it only to an authorised person. For non-hazardous commercial waste collections, a waste transfer note (WTN) is normally required and should be kept as part of your records. If hazardous waste is involved, it must move under a hazardous consignment note – tell us what’s being removed and we’ll advise on the compliant route.

As a business arranging commercial clearances in South Wales, you must only pass your waste to an authorised person (a registered waste carrier). We will provide our waste carrier number on request, and we only use authorised facilities for recycling and disposal.
